We work primarily in the northern regions of Ukraine that are being badly affected by the current conflict and have no political affiliation. we are known and trusted by the local communities and our only interest is to help the children and their families by being there for them in their time of need
Our main aims are:
To work with our Ukrainian and Belarusian colleagues and volunteers to locate children who will benefit from a health respite break to rebuild their compromised immune systems
To bring child victims of the Chernobyl disaster to the UK for recuperative breaks of up to four weeks - close to fifty thousand children and young adults have benefitted from staying with host families since our inception in 1992.
To provide on-going supplies of multi-vitamins and basic healthcare products, school uniforms, stationary, learning aids, special needs items, clothing, shoes and toiletries to the children. To provide in areas of acute need, food, shelter, medicines, medical equipment, educational aids and other means of support as should be required at the time.
To work with our Ukrainian and Belarusian colleagues and volunteers to identify projects to improve the lives of children and their family living in areas affected by aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster and the conflict in Ukraine.
The parents of the Chernobyl children, who most of the time live in despair, thank you and embrace you all for your kindness and generosity.
