Support Under-Represented Communities in Cheshire to Dance
Cheshire Dance

Dance is for everyone: young people, older adults, people with restricted mobility... and everyone in between.

It has long been proven that dance, as an art form, has the ability to transform lives. From boosting confidence and enhancing social
skills in younger people, to preventing falls, reducing isolation and improving coordination, strength and balance in older adults – and of course, raising the spirits of everyone – dance provides creative experiences for both body and mind.

Cheshire Dance works to support people facing hardship or inequalities of opportunity through dance.  As a social activity, dance is a great tool for bringing communities and people together - whether to meet other like minded individuals, for fitness and health, for creative learning or to support them in their profession.

The team at Cheshire Dance specialises in work with:-

  • Young people and children in need
  • People with physical disabilities and/or learning difficulties - including those with Profound Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities
  • Older people who are isolated, have health concerns or who are living with challenging conditions such as Dementia
  • Artists, Teachers, Youth and Care Workers in their professional development

Cheshire Dance is a registered charity, established in 1976.

If you would like to support our work in Cheshire West and Cheshire East, please consider donating either a one off amount or a regular payment. All funds will go directly to our projects and will help to ensure that we can support our local communities through dance.
