Bishopsland
Bishopsland, founded in 1993 and based in Oxfordshire, provides post-graduate training workshops for silversmiths and jewellers.
Bishopsland offers the only postgraduate residential course for self-employment in British silversmithing. Young emerging silversmiths and jewellers, many from disadvantaged backgrounds are given bursary support to enable them to attend.
They receive exceptional craft training in silversmithing and jewellery and in addition receive Masterclasses with the UK’s leading silversmiths including Malcolm Appleby, Rod Kelly and Sheila McDonald. They also learn the essential business skills required to progress their talent into a career. Opportunities for exhibitions are frequent including working collaboratively with the Saatchi Gallery, Livery companies, the V&A.
