Support and pastoral care for the community

We provide support for the community in spiritual matters, celebrations and support for people’s life events (weddings, baptisms, thanksgivings and funerals). Pastoral care for all those in special need is an important part of the work: including our work with the community to deliver our Coronavirus Care Network with volunteers helping those in need at home, especially the vulnerable, and our Admiral’s Café run in conjunction with Admirals Nurses and Dementia UK for those with mental health issues. We support the local village school with regular assemblies, and volunteers helping with literacy and numeracy sessions. They also visit the church and churchyard for special events and curriculum-based work.

Your donation will help us retain trained staff and contribute to the costs of maintaining our beautiful Grade II* listed medieval church. It will also help to enable us to improve the facilities of the church to make it more comfortable and welcoming for ministry in the village for years to come with refreshment facilities, toilet, and informal seating.
