Established in 2014, CCT purchased land at the heart of the village under Community Right to Buy in order to realise the community ambitions established through a range of surveys. Establishing the community hub involves a number of phases: a village green and shelter (complete, managed by the Green Team), six houses for social rent (complete), a toilet block and potting shed (complete), a mixed-use building (The Space under development) and a café (the final phase). All our activity has to be funded through grants and fundraising. The latter include a monthly community market, a Sharing Shed, the annual Black Isle Food and Drink Festival and author events. The Space will include office space for a local home-care provider and health rooms.
