Extinction Rebellion

We are the fastest growing direct climate action group in history. Since our declaration in October 2018 Extinction Rebellion has grown to over 200 groups in 60 countries. There is global hunger for fair & sustainable governance like never before and our supporters are swarming the streets to demand it. Thousands of people who have become part of our network demanding: - The Government must tell the truth about the ecological emergency, reverse inconsistent policies and work alongside the media to communicate the sixth mass extinction to our citizens. - The Government must enact legally binding policy measures to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2025 and to reduce consumption levels to deal with “ecological overshoot” (using too much of the planet's resources). - A Citizens Assembly to set the policy and initiate the changes, as part of creating a democracy fit for purpose.
