Several Employees celebrating Long Service preferred to help our local community by donating money to the Birtley/Gateshead Foodbank instead of arranging a team buffet celebration.

This donation is from colleagues of Agnes Graham who is retiring today and asked that we give any money given towards gifts to the foodbank to help others

I just want to make things a little easier for people who are struggling.

No one should go hungry. You do great work!

Wish we had no need for foodbanks but we do and therefore I happily donate to this worthwhile organisation

Society consistently fails those who end up in poverty. Those who need to use a foodbank should never have had to end up in that situation in the first place, and it is not their fault. As someone who earns a salary, something helpful we can do is support foodbanks while foodbanks still have to sadly exist.
