LARGO COMMUNITIES TOGETHER
Largo Communities Together was established to enhance community life in Largo, Lundin Links, Woodside, New Gilston, Newburn and Drumeldrie.
Largo Communities Together(LCT) is a registered charity established by the community to be responsive to its needs. The LCT committee and office bearers are appointed by the membership of over 300 people. Membership of LCT is open to all interested people. LCT formulates its plans mainly via public consultation exercises. LCT facilitates projects that develop the assets of the community, its people and its organisations. LCT takes particular interest in projects such as the restoration of heritage, in buildings, historical archives and folk culture, with an emphasis on making our heritage accessible to everyone. LCT enables collaboration between existing community groups and recognises that it is important for our members that separate organisations can thrive within our community, but groups should also have the ability to come together through LCT when the whole is greater than the sum of parts. Current projects include supporting our residents throughout the Covid-19 pandemic via the Largo Area Coronavirus Response Team, the restoration of Largo Pier and gaining community access to Largo Estate.
