Since the Alexandra Hospital opened in 1986, the League of Friends has been there to welcome visitors, staff, and patients.
What began with friendly smiles and light refreshments has grown into an organization with many dedicated members and volunteers.
Our organization’s strength lies in the unity of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors.The heart of our operation is our friendly Coffee Shop, providing refreshments for staff and patients alike.
The funds from the coffee shop, together with generous public donations, and specific fundraising events, have helped us raise several million pounds for the hospital.
These funds have enabled us to purchase various resources, from everyday necessities to sophisticated technology.
