Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
We are MIOT 43, A Squadron, at RAF College Cranwell, representing 62 Officer Cadets. Upon graduation, our leadership roles will span the RAF, from Pilots to Air Operations, Cyber, the RAF Regiment, and more.
Our community is vital to us as we train to defend our nation. To give back for the incredible local support we receive, we are fundraising through various events over the next 17 weeks. We have two selected charities and ask you to give generously. See our second page here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/a-sqn-miot-43-1776760756321.
Lincolnshire Emergency Medical Response (LEMR) is run by 45 volunteers, all current or ex-serving personnel, including one of our own commanders. They provide rapid support to the East Midlands Ambulance Service. Having acquired two new response vehicles, they aim to brand these ‘RAF Responders’ with the Cranwell Crest and RAF Roundel to celebrate our close relationship.
On 2 June 2026, A Squadron will conduct a physical endurance event to "deliver" the tonnage and fly the air corridors used during Operation VITTLES (The Berlin Airlift). In 1948, the RAF and USAF responded to the Soviet blockade with a non-stop aerial bridge. At its peak, a plane landed every 90 seconds, saving the city through grit and logistics. Our course will be divided into sections to collectively manoeuvre the 7,000kg payload (the capacity of an RAF Avro York) via Deadlifts and Jerry can carries, and complete the 260km air corridor distance via Rower, Ski-Erg, and Bike. Our “pilots” must rotate every 90 seconds to mimic the peak landing rate.
Wish us luck and please donate generously. Thank you!
