As a Majorettes troupe we feel the money we have raised is to be used to help another charity where everyone knows someone who has a story about nicu/scbu.

I was a premature baby myself, needing intensive care for a period. Heard about the charity through 24hr 'sportathon' fundraiser.

My very good friend Steph had her baby prematurely three years ago and she says the care she and her daughter received at the time in the NICU was amazing. I'd like to make a donation in her and Juliet's honour.

About New Life
The Charity was launched by Trevor Goodall in 1995 in memory of his sons Joshua and Samuel who was born 3 months early weighing just 1lb 1oz and 1lb 3oz. Sadly, they both died after a week, but their struggle inspired Trevor to do something. Now each year the charity goes from strength to strength. Every year in the UK over 100,000 babies are born premature or require medical attention. Neonatal units rely on specialist equipment to save, treat and monitor premature babies and to support the family at what is a highly emotional and stressful time, but NHS budgets do not stretch to ensure the latest and most effective equipment is available. That's why it's our mission to provide neonatal equipment to special care baby units that improve the chances of a new life surviving and thriving. To date Trevor and his team of volunteers have raised an incredible ONE MILLION POUNDS helping hospitals across the country to raise funds to buy specialist equipment, improving the chances of babies born prematurely.
