Pet Fostering Service Scotland- 40 years of Pet Fostering
Pet Fostering Service Scotland

For the past 40 years, Pet Fostering Service Scotland (PFSS) has provided support to people who need temporary pet care when no other options are available.  We provide fostering for pets of people who are experiencing ill health, temporary homelessness or domestic abuse.

We provide basic pet food and accessories such as bedding for our foster pets, if their owners are unable provide or fund this during the foster period. We also provide essential vet care for our foster pets. These costs are covered by the PFSS Hardship fund, which, during the cost-of-living crisis is being accessed more than ever before.

Funding in the current financial climate is becoming increasingly difficult. PFSS is funded entirely by public donations, contributions from Trusts & Foundations together with a small number of legacies. We are so very grateful for each donation we receive, making our work possible.

With each text donation we hope to be able to continue to meet these essential costs for each of our pets whilst in foster care.

A £1 donation will feed a foster cat for a day, a £10 donation we can feed one of our foster pets for up to 2 weeks. A £20 donation provides a comfortable bed for a dog in foster care with PFSS. A £50 donation pays for a vet consultation for an ill pet in foster care. All the donations Pet Fostering Service Scotland receives through the DONATE scheme will go towards helping pets whose owner’s need to access our Hardship fund and for other charitable purposes.
