ANGELS OPERATION APPEAL

ANGEL NEEDS AN OPERATION

 

Our sweet Angel needs an operation on both her front legs to enable her to walk properly.

 

Angel came to us with her 2 lambs as a 'downed ewe' and could not walk or even sit up on her own without support. Angel had terrible pressure sores from being down on the ground for so long and was emaciated as she was still feeding her lambs but unable to move around to graze herself.

 

It took months of rehabilitation to get Angel back to health and able to get around. One issue remains though .... her two front legs have contracted, solid tendons due to her being down for so long and we just can't make enough of a difference to them without surgery.

 

Our very supportive vets have proposed a surgical solution which will hopefully fix the problem ... we have to add nothing is guaranteed but we must try to give her full mobility as she deserves it after what she has been through.

 

Each front leg will be operated on separately and there will be weeks of aftercare but we are hopeful for the future.

 

The cost to the surgery is approximately £1000 although any complications will obviously put the cost up plus there will aftercare veterinary visits required.
