Zen on Tour

Zen on Tour: The Zen Project has teamed up with Beyond, a youth mental health charity that exists to improve young people’s mental health in the UK. Together we will tour the UK and visit schools to arm students and staff with vital tools and techniques to support their mental health. 

We are facing a mental health crisis in the U.K.

- Suicide is now the biggest killer of under 35's (Papyrus)

- 1 in 6 children now have a diagnoable mental health condition (Place2be) and referrals CAMHS* has increased 134% since the pandemic. *Children and adolescent Mental Health Service. 

We need to act now and that is what this tour is all about - help us to make a difference.

We need to raise £20,000 to fund the Zen School Tour, where we will visit up to 20 schools across the two weeks surrounding Childrens Mental Health week in February. 

On the tour we will be delivering in-person sessions on useful, quick and effective tools to facilitate zen whenever and wherever it is needed. Through the use of breathwork, guided meditation, and other evidence-backed acitvities, we provide free sessions and practical skills to help students of all ages and of course we will be running sessions for teachers and staff too. The space also provides a safe, multifunctional setting for groups to facilitate other activities focused on wellbeing, including arts and crafts. With your help we can help young people lay the foundations for emotional wellbeing.

Importantly, our campaign not only provides a physical space for groups to learn and practise techniques but also initiates conversation specifically about child and adolescent mental health in the right settings. Through our campaign, we hope to remove the stigma associated with discussing mental health amongst young people and build a community of organisations invested in taking action.
