About ALANOUWALY SALIFOU SYLLA FOUNDATION

There is too much mistrust, hate and misunderstanding between different people and cultures. many feel isolated, causing mental health problems and lack of money will prohibit in person cultural events. The death in 2008 of the brilliant guinean musician, dancer salif inspired us to continue his work of connecting people through culture. We collaborate with diverse groups for our African Drum, diverse Dance workshops and a free annual community music festival. Collaborators and attendees learn and feel enriched. it creates understanding, meaningful connections, happiness and a sense of belonging. Appreciating our differences whilst seeing commonalities make communities safer & more unified. "I felt happy...elated"
