Be One in a Million – Support Kitchener’s!

We’re on a mission to raise £1 million to secure the future of the Lord Kitchener Memorial Holiday Centre – affectionately known as Kitchener’s.

Set on the seafront in Lowestoft, England’s most easterly town, Kitchener’s has been a sanctuary for veterans and their families for generations. But with rising maintenance costs and an ageing Grade II listed building, we urgently need support to keep this historic centre running and welcoming guests for years to come.

Why “One in a Million”?

According to the 2021 Census for England & Wales, 2022 Census for Scotland, and estimates for Northern Ireland, there are around 2.1–2.4 million veterans across Great Britain.

We’re asking for the equivalent of just 50p from every British veteran.

Here in East Anglia alone, it’s estimated there are 250,000–300,000 veterans – that’s a quarter of a million people we could reach in our own region.

Whether you donate £1, £10, or £100, you become one in a million – part of a growing community ensuring Kitchener’s continues to serve those who’ve served us.

If one million people give just £1, we can keep working closely with veterans to ensure that no one is left isolated or alone.

• Repair original wooden sash windows that leak and lose heat in winter
• Upgrade bedrooms and improve accessibility
• Keep prices affordable so no veteran is ever turned away
