Knole in Flux

Knole is a place of contrast. Its imposing façade hides behind it a collection of immense fragility.

We have begun a two year urgent repair programme that will tackle the root cause of so many of the problems at Knole; water ingress. Over many years the building structure has become damaged, roofs and walls failing, exposing Knole and the extraordinary collection to the ravages of damp and decay.

By the end of 2013 for the first time in centuries Knole will be watertight. Having stopped the water coming in some of the next stage of revitalisation of Knole will be able to get underway. None of this work is possible without the support of donations of all sizes.

The National Trust urgently needs to raise funds for Knole in Flux and for other charitable projects. Thank you for your support.
